About ISTE GCEK

The ISTE Student Chapter of Govt. College of Engineering Kannur was re-established in the academic year 2016-17 to provide a common platform for students to exhibit and cultivate their talents which help in their all-round career development.

Mission

National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System.

Vision

  • Quality training programmes for the teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity.

  • Assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organisations.

  • Providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills and personality.

Our Activities

Here are some of the activities we have conducted. It was very beneficial for students as they were provided with opportunities to develop their desired skills.

Gate Coaching

An initiative by students to support other students in studies and cracking the GATE Examination under Club Contrive. Faculties also contribute their support.

Workshop Series

Workshops from various professionals are provided on demand. The topics are chosen very wisely prioritising the demands of our fellow members.

Project Building

It is a space where students who are interested in taking up some projects can confidently come with/without a basic notion. It is handled by Think-Tank Forum.

Alumni Connect

A talk series in association with the Bangalore Alumni Association of GCEK (CEAAK). Here, different technical topics are discussed once a month.

Soft Skill Development

Our soft skill development programs are focused on making students confident for facing the industry tomorrow.

ISTE GCEK Forums

There are many forums under ISTE GCEK SC. It includes CSE Forum, Civil Forum, ME Forum, ECE Forum, EEE Forum and Think Tank Forum. Every forum has a head who coordinate all the activities of the members under them. Each forum conduct a variety of events.

  • There will be an orientation and membership drive, so you can pay the membership fee and join the club. Life time membership fee: 3540/- and Student membership fee: 350/- You don't have to renew the membership every year.

  • Any member of ISTE can come forward with an idea to their respective forum heads.

  • Yes, but just joining the club won't be considered. You should be an active member.

  • Yes, it is an yearly event hosted by different colleges every year.
